Richard Lilford Professor Richard Lilford, Chair, NIHR Methodology Panel

Richard Lilford was appointed Professor of Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Birmingham in 2001. Before joining the University of Birmingham as an Honorary Professor in Health Services Research he spent six years as Director of R&D at the NHS Executive West Midlands.

In addition to his post as Chair of the NIHR Methodology Panel he has served as a member of the steering committee of the HTA programme. He has also served as Chair of the Institute of Epidemiology & Health Services Research at the University of Leeds. He is Honorary Professor of the Schools of Business and Biological Science at the University of Warwick and the Department of Epidemiology and Population Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
