HTA Clinical Trials

Person working in labOutline proposals for HTA Clinical Trials to assess the effectiveness of treatments and tests within the NHS are accepted on an ongoing basis. Proposals are assessed for importance to patients and the NHS before being considered at the next available meeting of the HTA Clinical Trials Board, which is made up of around 20 senior academics.

Shortlisted research teams are invited to submit more detailed full proposals for consideration by the Board. The Board assesses the scientific merit, feasibility and value for money of the proposals before making funding recommendations.
